This week's featured Austin wedding vendor is Divisi Strings, an extremely talented group of musicians who can provide stunning and elegant music for your big day.
Looking for a string quartet for your Austin wedding? Want the beautiful music of a solo harp playing in the background as your guests arrive? Or maybe, you feel a jazz ensemble would be more your style. Look no further than Austin's own Divisi Strings.
Divisi Strings began in October of 2006 with just a single quartet, and have quickly grown to over sixty hand-selected musicians who exhibit the highest levels of musicality. Every Divisi Strings musician has received their Bachelor's degree in music performance and most of them continued their studies at prestigious music institutions like Rice University, University of North Texas and the Juilliard School of Music. Members have also taken positions in the Austin Symphony and Austin Lyric Opera. If you want professional-level music, these guys are it.
Choose from: String Quartet, String Trio, String Duo, Solo Instrument, Solo Harp, Pianos and Jazz Ensembles (3 or 4 piece) or even a Woodwind Quintet. You can also add a trumpet or vocalist if you desire. They can provide pretty much anything any bride/groom would need as far as live entertainment is concerned.
Divisi Strings begin the prelude music 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony. This music is usually chosen by the musicians, but if there are certain songs you would like your guests to hear, they will gladly play them. Then for the parents and grandparents, bridal party, and your processional you will have your choice of music from their wide repertoire. Ceremony music, including the Unity Candle, can all be hand-picked and they will play for the exit of the party and for the guests.

DIVISI Strings would love to provide Big Sounds for your Big Day®.

I think harp playing is perfect for weddings. A lot of people wedding bands these days uses canned songs to play. Its good to know that there are still bands who exerts effort to produce their own rendition of classical music.
