The Coffee Filter Dress

And you thought coffee filters couldn't be fashionable! Feast your eyes on this stunning dress created by Aimee Kick, that consists entirely of regular ol' coffee filters! Aimee knew that she wanted to create something creative, but after eliminating normal fabrics her options for material were limited. Being able to dance was an important factor in the final decision for the material, but she needed to be able sit and breathe comfortably, as well as be able to make and complete the dress in a reasonable time frame.

The entire coffee filter dress took Aimee about a month to make and included folding, cutting as well as staining, dying, sewing, and hand blow-drying the coffee filters. Honestly, this dress looks better than most of the designer dresses I've recently seen!

  1. Wow, this is very interesting. How would someone keep it on without tearing it apart ;-).

  2. The girl in that pitcher look too young to be married. That's probably why she can only afford a wedding dress made out of coffee filters.

  5. I think she looks gorgeous and what a great and crafty idea. I'm actually planning of making all of my wedding flowers and centerpieces out of coffee filters. Anyway haters, if Lady Gaga can wear a meat dress then why not a coffee filter dress?
