Laurie says: You can make cakes with any number or size of layers and in any colors. Several cakes clustered together would make a lovely display above a dessert table. They are light weight, and very easy to hang.

Supplies you'll need:
Satin acetate ribbon - 1" wide
3 metal craft rings small, medium and large.
A couple of colors of card stock
White fabric coated wire - 18" long
Flower shaped craft punch
Leaf shaped craft punch
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors
Wire cutters
These are not hard to make, but they do take time and would definitely go much faster if you have an extra helping hand. It's a good project to do a few weeks before, not days before your wedding. Click here to see the entire step-by-step directions on the Bride's Cafe. Good luck!

I'm in love with this! I just so happens that my future mother-in-law owns a ribbon and fabric store so this is right up my alley! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this before. Will have to share this with our brides! Too pretty!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this before either but I'm swooning over it. Seems simple enough to do. My entire wedding was "suppose" to be a DIY affair but I'm finding less time to make handmade decor for it. Might focus on this exclusively. Too cool.
ReplyDeleteOh this is a great idea! Instant hit for any type of party! Not just wedding! I can see this going well in a baby shower too, little diaper pins and blue and pink ribbon! ^^
ReplyDeleteToo pretty and so simple!
