The concept is simple. Instead of offering guests the traditional method of signing their attendance, a sketch or outline of a tree is set up for guests to "thumbprint" and write their names beside. They will get a kick out of the uniqueness and at the end of the day, you'll have a visual masterpiece (instead of a book full of plain signatures) to remember sharing your big day with family and friends. Who wouldn't love this idea!

Thumbprint trees are a clever way to add a little color to your overall theme without sacrificing the elegance of the day. It's often the smallest design details that guests will remember forever. Take advantage of the opportunity and wow them from the beginning :)

looooooooove this!!! we did it for our guestbook with orange & red thumb leaves since we were married in the fall on the peak foliage weekend in new england!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of paint should I use for the thumb leaves?
ReplyDeleteThank You x
Love this new idea. One of my brides is doing this for her wedding next month. Can't wait to see it in real life.
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! It is so creative and a fun way for the guests to sign in. I think it would be such a great souvenir for the bride and groom as well to keep after their wedding.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! I'm having one for my wedding as well :)
ReplyDeleteThis is another unique and pretty idea for wedding guestbooks! :D I love that one with Paul and Tammi, maybe for a thumbprint tree to look more colorful, pretty colors should be already painted on it. :D
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing idea! Even if couples use a guestbook, odds are that after the wedding, they are packed away and never to be seen again!
ReplyDeleteBut this is something that could be framed and cherished forever!
I love these designs, I want one! such a lovely keep sake after the weddding.
ReplyDeletei have ordered one for my wedding that is coming up in july! i am wondering, from those of you who have used this before, is it best to just lay it on a table and then frame it later??
ReplyDeleteI just received mine in the mail today, and am trying to decide whether I want our guests to "leaf" a thumb print AND sign their name, or just do the thumb print. I feel like people could mess up on writing... or not like the way it looks, and then mess up the whole thing! What do you all think?
